Refectory’s Ten for Ten Wine Tastings continue with a September Series featuring the vineyards of France. Tastings will be held on Tuesday, September 7, Wednesday, September 15, Monday, September 20, and Thursday, September 30, 2010. These tastings on the patio (weather permitting) will run frm 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Prepaid reservations are required (614-451-9774). Stick around [...] Get Uncorked! with the Columbus Art Museum on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. This wine and food tasting is held the first Thursday of every month at CMA. This month, explore works featured in our Fur, Fins & Feathers exhibition with Melissa Wolfe, CMA’s associate curator of American Art. The menu includes: House Wine in Old Worthington holds Thursday Night Tastings from 6 – 9 p.m. every week. No reservations are necessary and you taste at your own pace for this $15 event. Cheese and flatbread are included. It’s a very fun, energetic event – bring your friends! Schedule: The Scioto River will be aglow again with the cityscape in the background. Waterfire Columbus is a unique artistic event during which the river will be illuminated with 37 floating fires. On the first Thursday of every month a new specialty “hoppy” beer will be released with a Keg Tapping Party. At 6 p.m. this Thursday, September 2, 2010, they will celebrate “Eyr Der, Eyr Der: a red rye, red rye”.
