Love Sweets? Cake for a Cause will satisfy your sweet tooth and benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. This fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s facility and will feature raffles and silent and live auctions of over 50 items from area bakers, cake designers, and local companies that specialize in sweets. You can expect the chance to bid on cakes, cupcakes, jewelry inspired by sweets, a Sweet and Spicy Photo session, hotel stays befitting chocolate lovers, cheesecakes, edible arrangements, wine, brownies, cookies, gift certificates, and more. The silent auctions and raffles will run from 6 to 8 and the live auction will take place at 8 pm.
All of the money raised with benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, with hopes of raising at least $2190 – enough to feed a family of 4 for an entire year. Tickets cost $21 and are 100% tax deductible. Each ticket purchased will feed 1 person for 2 weeks! Hors d’oeurves will be provided by Cameron Mitchell, Made from Scratch and Vito’s Catering, and there will be a cash wine and champagne bar.
